Day+ 2

Sorry for posting so late. I was sleeping away most the morning. My white blood counts are getting pretty low and I am wiped out.

Enjoyed seeing my mom last night and she brought up my Aunt Linda for a visit.

I am crazy tired and will try to write more tomorrow.

Hey cousin,
Just saying "hi." I love reading your blog everyday. It helps me feel closer than 3,000 miles away. Thanks for all of the postings, especially when you are exhausted. That is great that they were able to harvest so many healthy cells. I love your attitude about continuing to get up, shower, walk, etc if you have any energy to at all... your nurses must love you :). I totally agree with the hospital food thing. Sometimes I bring trays into patient rooms thinking, "How could they even SEND this?" It is sad, but the only edible stuff in our hospital cafeteria is the greasy food, so the kids on my floor pretty much each chicken strips and fries for every meal. I don't blame them. Say "hi" to your mom, Dave, the little z's, etc for me. I miss all of you, Jessica

Hi Heather, We've been thinking of you through all the treatments but this blog really helps us understand how you are managing day to day. It sounds as if you are being just as brave and sensible as can be. Stick with the grim food, lots of sympathy there.
We love the photos of the little zs, give them all lots of love; we're hoping to meet little Alex as soon as we can manage.
Love from us all, Steven, Bridget, Ben,Oliver and Freddie (would they be quarter zs?)

JESSICA HAD TO SHOW ME HOW TO DO THIS .....DUH. IT IS GREAT THAT THE KIDS GET TO SEE YOU SOMETIMES...I HAD THE MISTAKEN PERCEPTION THAT THEY COULD NEVER COME INTO THE ROOM...AND THAT SEEMED VERY SAD. SO KEEP DOING WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO DO SO YOU CAN GET THE DEVIL OUT OF THERE SOONER NOT LATER! LOTS OF LOVE TO YOU, DAVE AND THE LITTLE Z'S. AUNT JOYCE

Hi Heather. Just a quick hello to let you know I read every day and think of you all the time. I still remember stuffing OMAR packets when you were planning your wedding and you telling us all about giving away trees at your wedding. The group was full of sarcasm (shall I name them...me, Ezra, Michele, Kathleen...;-) and we all got a great laugh while doing our mundane tasks. That sure was a sign of what an incredible caring person you (and Dave) are as you were concerned with growing a tree for the future generations instead of chocolates with your names! I need to tell you THANK YOU as you inspire me to be a better mother and wife and take more things in stride. Your strenght and spirit is truly a gift you give to others and I just wanted to tell let you know. Hang in and I look forward to hearing about the date you get to go home!
