Day +14

My counts today:

Platelets - 7K
White - 1110
ANC - 910
Red - 28.7

So they are going to attempt to send me home again today. I need a platelet transfusion; nothing new I have had almost 1 a day in here. They are sending me home with some antibiotics they will teach me how to administer myself so I don't have to hang out here. My doctor is so cool. I said we just need to give her the chance to get out of here! I agree because if not something could always pop up in this place that can make me stay.

I am excited but not getting my hopes up until they change my caps and unhook me from this stupid pump. The kids still don't know and the rule is we say nothing until I am sitting at home.

Wish me luck.

Heather,

You are quite a trooper! Here's hoping you get your wish to go home today! Getting home can speed up your recovery.

Heather, I am so impressed with this blog site, looks so professional. I've been praying for you, especially for you to get OUT of the hospital and get back home with all its comforts. BTW, in re the school thing we talked about before Christmas, from the small amount of research I've actually managed to do, private school is VERY expensive, especially non-parochial. Grace up the street from us is $15,000 for kindergarten. Even with help from my mother, it's just not gonna happen. St. Bernadette's would be about $7 or $8 thousand, perhaps do-able if really necessary. Woodlin here we come! Candace

Heather,

I'm not much of a blogger but I talked to your dad today and wanted to say hi. Your dad is a really great person.

I meditate a little, have faith in God and have tremendous conviction in positive energy. So I will send my entire belief system your way.

I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

My very best wishes.

Hello Everyone,

This is Heather's sister Michele. Heather went home on Tuesday and the same night came down with a fever. She was re-admitted the next day to the hospital and diagnosed with pneumonia. The doctors anticipate that she will be in the hospital for at least 4-5 more days. Heather is very weak and can not update her blog. This is a set-back, but hopefully just a small one.

Thanks for all of your support, I know that it means a great deal to Heather!

Heather,

I just wanted to drop by and say that there isn't a day that goes by where I don't think of you and there isn't a night that I don't pray for you, dave, and the kids. I hope to be able to come up soon and help out in any way possible. I love you so much.
